Hi Cindy,

 

It's Jeff from Glenn Dale Baptist. I wanted to say I was really blessed
at the Second Saturday Coffee House.  You all are an amazing witness
for the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit led me to two people
I shared the Gospel with and one who was going through a hard time
and needed encouragement. One lady who lived next store to the
coffee house came out on her porch when she heard you all, so I
invited her over, she didn't know it was open to the public. When I
told her it was a free Christian coffee house that opened the door.
She had been thinking about God and going to church, but she had
a lot of questions. I was able to answer some of her questions and
she took the number of my church and I told her about the churches
in the area. Another was one of the teens we persuaded to come in
during your drama and after ward I was able to talk with some of
them. Of course they were normal teens around their friends, but
when they were walking away one of them turned to me and said
"thank you for getting me in there, it sure made me think". The
last was a lady that during your prayer for repentance was out side
crying so I asked if she was all right and I was able to talk to her and
give some encouragement. Just wanted to let you all know that
the Lord was and is using you all greatly.

Hey TNL,
Your hearts for God are so evident.  Your love for Christ shining
through on each song.  The calling on Second Saturday Coffee
House, from it's beginning, has been to share of the grace,
mercy, forgiveness, and abounding love found in Christ Jesus, 
with those who have not yet met their Savior. You conveyed
that Truth with the clarity and unwavering confidence that
comes from one who knows. I am so grateful that God allowed
us to give you a platform for sharing your amazing gifts and
talents in music, along with His love and Truth.  You all are an
awesome band to worship with!  Thank you so very much for
serving with us last night.

I first became acquainted with TNL through my Director who
knew a friend of the bands.  I work at a Christian Rehabilation
Center (Transformation Life Center) for men in West Park, NY
and quarterly hold family retreats for the men and their families. 
My Director passed along the bands information to me to check
out.  From the beginning in speaking with the band, I knew that
God was at work.  That was a year and a half ago.  Our ministry
 has developed a wonderful relationship with TNL and they have
 now performed at several of our retreats.  We have already
scheduled them for 2008 as well.  Our ministry is not the only
blessed one in having met TNL but I personally have been
blessed in developing a close relationship with Cindy and
Terry Barnes who lead the band.  I think it is awesome how God
connects the body from state to state!  Honestly, from the
moment you meet TNL it is not just the worship music that
will blow you away but God's light that shines in each of the
muscians.

TNL PRAISE BAND,


On Behalf of the men of the Colony of Mercy Addiction Recovery
Ministry, I wanted to shoot you an email to thank you all for
your hard work and dedication to serve our Savior in such an
encouraging way.  The men were truly blessed by the praise and
worship and fellowship.  Mark’s testimony and challenge from
the word was right on time for some of the men. 


Chad (the man who was given opportunity to play the Bass)
had been kinda quiet and reserved up till Saturday night.  He had
been considering leaving the program but after fellowshipping
with the Bass player and then given opportunity to play, He’s
turned the corner. He is smiling more, is more open in talking with
men and seems to have a more hopeful outlook.  His countenance
has lifted since Saturday.  It’s results like this that confirms God’s
calling and blessing on our ministries.

Thanks so much again coming out this past Saturday.  It was
truly a blessing!  It turned out to be more than my heart
could've imagined.  I really admire your ministry and how you
all are using your gifts to help and touch so many people,
especially those that are suffering.  Keep it up, and keep on
going!

We want you to know that we are here to help you in any way
we can, just let us know.

Hey Cindy, Terry, and the Whole TNL Praise Band,
What an Awesome night!  We are SO thankful at how much
love and energy and spirit you all brought to our Coffee
House.  It is obvious that your whole band has the Love of
Christ and Spirit of God in their hearts.  Your wonderful
Christ-centered contemporary music was a joy, and I was
glad we had people of all ages dancing and swaying and
clapping.  I know our Pastor was happy when you sang the
 "Revival" song, because he has been talking about our need
 for revival in Accokeek for some time.  I very much
appreciate your gentle suggestions and help with the coffee
 house as I am fumbling through starting this.  And we also
 appreciate how involved the band got with our Open Mic
portion, where your drummer got a chance to sing (and sing
 well), and your bass player gave an awesome testimony about
 being led by the Spirit and doing God's Will even when the
 world might think you're nuts :-)  But God's ways are not
 the world's ways.
 
Again, thanks so much - the concert and the TNL Praise Band
 has been a real blessing.  I look forward to working with you
 in the future on some Outreach to "the least of these, my
brothers and sisters."
 
Keep up the wonderful focus on Christ, because I know God
 is smiling down on you all!
